Very Vera

Vera 2

When I see her classic signature and her iconic ladybug mark on a piece of cloth I get irrationally excited…as if I am out panning for gold and just scored an epic nugget that will break the scales! Just curious…does this happen to anyone else???

I truly can’t resist the force field that pulls me to Vera Neumann anything…I am all in always! Which has resulted in a healthy cloth napkin and scarf collection.

Any worthy treasure hunt comes out with a few Vera pieces, so here are my most recent finds. In my previous Flower Power post I mentioned my friends at Swift and Faire…well they struck again with pulling me in with this chic shirt from Vera.

Flower Power…

Kapow!!!  That’s the sound of Flower Power with a Punch…

This Flower Power Punch I speak of is not a refreshment nor is it your soft dainty floral frock where you have visions of proper ladies lunching at a garden party but more of a rowdy Andy Warhol crowd at an amplified pop art gallery opening.

I am sooo crazy in love with my vintage Neiman Marcus palazzo pants from my must stop shop, Swift and Faire, at the fashion tent during the Brimfield show. These crazy cool ladies always have an amazing curated collection of must have’s and these were for sure one of them this round!

Hello Sunshine

There is a total bliss that comes to me when I see the first batch of daffodils that show themselves at the beginning of spring…so much so I find myself greeting them with a solid and joyful Hello Sunshine!!! So on this last trip to Brimfield I realized that I have that same inclination to do so whenever I see something so cheerful and optimistic created in this fun-loving color…I mean what would ROYGBIV do without yellow…ROGBIV…I don’t think so!!!
So here is my Show and Tell of some of the cheerful treasures that crossed my path.

Have a sunshiny day!

Field of Dreams…

Today was the opening day at Brimfield and man did I get my game on! I was locked and loaded with my fanny pack, comfy boots and the will for treasure!

7 hours, 3 disco shirts, 2 dresses, 2 patches and a bounty of jewelry later I find myself wiped out and ready of bed!

Nite Nite,

smashing success…

okay…so I know it’s still early to call it but I must say switching up how we “do” Brimfield this time is tracking to be pretty fantastic!

Coming in early for the very curated very delightful textile show was a huge win. It had a slightly different vibe than the fields that open up tomorrow but still a great time with treasures to be found in both goods and in people (which is one of my all time favorite things about this show). We also had a chance to hit up some of the local shops as well as exploring nearby towns.
