I absolutely love love love old houses and love them even more when they haven’t necessarily been remodeled so we can do our thing. But with that beauty comes that beast…and that beast is usually in the form of bathrooms and kitchens!
We have been in our 1969 ranch home for 6 years and are now just getting to remodel our beasts….the master bath and guest bath. Joy to the World!!! Other than getting a washer and dryer in my home and not having to hoard quarters to do my laundry this is one of the most exciting things ever!
The original master bath was broken out into two rooms and a closet, with one of the rooms being carpeted (gross!) with a soffit that closed in the space even more.
We made the two rooms one, ditched the carpet and soffit and just like that the space began its transformation.
So here is my Master Bath Show & Tell…

getting my zen on,
I always fall for the gorgeous brooches during my treasure hunting adventures but then I end up talking myself out of bringing them home knowing I am not really a brooch wearing gal.
Well guess what??? New day…New dawn!
In fact I am a brooch wearing gal…just in a modified way. In a statement necklace kind of way.
Here is my latest fashion DIY project. Take one spectacular brooch and one complimentary necklace and you have just created a unique one of a kind “So You” statement necklace.
And the epic adventure continues…
Day Two…Crossville, TN to Frankfort, KY
First stop of the day was a good one…
I Love Love!
An all time favorite stop…what will a girl find?
Glassware is what a girl will find…
Check in tomorrow for the third and final day of the 2017 127 Adventure.
Although I am a total ROYGBIV gal and color is my middle name (not really it’s Suzanne) for my master bath remodel that is just wrapping up I leaned hard into textures…when I say hard I mean I followed my normal gig of more is more. AND I LOVE IT!!!!
These are the textures I combo plattered into the bath of my dreams. I will have a reveal and some fun before and afters but still waiting for the final touches!
Now onto the guest bath…
The music is on full blast…Donna Summer is belting out Last Dance…the lights are dimmed and there’s a slight strobe effect…there is only one possible place you could be other than the famed Studio 54…the finale of the Style With No Regret Brimfield Fashion Show & Tell.
Loving my new velveteen blown out psychedelic paisley jumpsuit.
Getting my folkloric groove on in this capped sleeve hippie top.
What creature could this super fab statement piece be…Crow? Otter????
paint it gold!!!
As a card carrying tree hugger member the thought of cutting down a tree even if deemed “necessary” hurts my heart. So when one of our backyard beauties needed to come down I took matters into my own hands to celebrate this woodland wonder. We saved five pieces that would work perfect as a casual seating area out in the wooded yard…or as a dog obstacle course which is how it is often used. This new little set up still needed something…it had the rustic vibe going on but needed to step up it’s game oh so slightly…so I went right to my go to solve without even a blink…I painted the tops gold.
Not too rustic…Not too fancy….
