Day Three…Frankfort, KY to College Hill, OH ( and then back to ATL)
Bring on the day…
Today was a first….we made it to Ohio! What will 2018 bring? Michigan perhaps?
Although I absolutely love the treasure hunting, the scenic road trip and of course the pancake dinners at Cracker Barrel what I love, love, love the most are the amazing, kind and interesting people I meet along the way. This year we ended the trip in College Hill, Ohio and met such a wonderful, spirited, joyful group of people from Serve NCH doing great things not only for their immediate community but also the greater community by collecting medicine bottle for Doctors Without Borders. Good vibes…
Only 353 days until next year…Whose in?
And the epic adventure continues…
Day Two…Crossville, TN to Frankfort, KY
First stop of the day was a good one…
I Love Love!
An all time favorite stop…what will a girl find?
Glassware is what a girl will find…
Check in tomorrow for the third and final day of the 2017 127 Adventure.
Classic or Kitsch???
During these times of great debate and divide I truly believe we can all agree that there is no question here…this pink birds of happiness are Classic Cool!
In 1957 Don Featherstone designed these perfectly pink yard birds for Union Products. So recognized as an iconic thread of our pop culture Don won the Nobel Prize for Art in 1996 for his fine feathered friends.
This warm weather girl needs a little encouragement as we enter the next few months of cooler weather so I got myself my very own pair of Flamingos, found them a good home in a few house plants and just like that I am back in my tropical mindset!
Pop Art Proud,
Tiki style is not just exclusively for the tiki room anymore…
So with that said this week we move out of the tiki room and head to one of my most favorite spots in the house…the sun porch. This space is truly the perfect place that brings all of the best things of the outside world with the comforts of inside living.
The vibe is goes something like this…World Beat meets Threes’s Company with a dash of Mid-Century and the proper measurement of pure Tiki…a magical fusion if I must say so myself!
