Mirror mirror on the wall…oops I mean mirror mirror on the entire house inside and out. True fact and not a typo!

Art is alive in the desert and man do I love art that invites you to participate in all its glory and splendor. Entering this reflective ranch was as if I was dropped into a gigantic kaleidoscope…magical!

This architectural installation, Mirage, by Doug Aitken was part of the Desert X Exhibition and will remains until October 31st, 2017. A for sure must see if you find yourself anywhere near the Palm Springs area.

Check out the below link for more about Mirage.

Not only did these happy California poppies come out and play so did this fantastic vintage Lilly Pulitzer floral frock.

These are the patterns and prints that didn’t come home with me from Brimfield but still inspired me. Shocking, I know but even this more is more girl couldn’t bring home anymore!

As they famously say a picture says a thousand words, so here are 9,000 words.

So much pattern…so much inspiration…so much to share…so here goes!

incredibly inspired,

Flower Power…

Kapow!!!  That’s the sound of Flower Power with a Punch…

This Flower Power Punch I speak of is not a refreshment nor is it your soft dainty floral frock where you have visions of proper ladies lunching at a garden party but more of a rowdy Andy Warhol crowd at an amplified pop art gallery opening.

I am sooo crazy in love with my vintage Neiman Marcus palazzo pants from my must stop shop, Swift and Faire, at the fashion tent during the Brimfield show. These crazy cool ladies always have an amazing curated collection of must have’s and these were for sure one of them this round!

Hello Sunshine

There is a total bliss that comes to me when I see the first batch of daffodils that show themselves at the beginning of spring…so much so I find myself greeting them with a solid and joyful Hello Sunshine!!! So on this last trip to Brimfield I realized that I have that same inclination to do so whenever I see something so cheerful and optimistic created in this fun-loving color…I mean what would ROYGBIV do without yellow…ROGBIV…I don’t think so!!!
So here is my Show and Tell of some of the cheerful treasures that crossed my path.

Have a sunshiny day!

MuuMuu of the Month…

mmotmone

…this muumuu’s got moves and here’s a small clip to prove it in the magical country of India.

India is one of my all time favorites that transports me to another world that is a total sensory overload (in the best of ways) that includes the gorgeous colorful clothing and textiles to the various exotic scents to the amazing and delicious veggie friendly cuisine and the music that sets the ultimate soundtrack.

Namaste,

All aboard the Thankful Train…so many things big and small to be thankful for everyday. I have been trying to do a better job of being mindful of this daily but for sure will be reflective of all that is good tomorrow.

I hope that everyone has super fab day of thanks!

Pattern Pattern everywhere…I couldn’t help but be inspired by all of this amazingness that surrounded me on vacay. From the stenciled path to the architectural elements to the bold colorful moments in the textiles..it was EVERYWHERE!

Whenever I return from a trip I always bring back an idea, a food or a new practice that I can incorporate into my world. The idea I need to re-create is the brilliant, beautiful bohemian stenciled cement path…LOVE!

absolutely inspired,

JSY
